Power of Words

ˇ@

Here are some paragraphs that touch my heart, hope it would touch yours too...

I've learned -

that my best friend and I can do anything

or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned -

that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down

will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned -

that sometimes when I'm angry

I have the right to be angry,

but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned -

that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned -

that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to

doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned -

that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned -

that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.

Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned -

that your family won't always be there for you.

It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to

can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

I've learned -

that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you

every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned -

that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.

Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Work like you don't need the money;

Love like you never been hurt;

Dance like no one is watching...

If you love something very much, let it go free

If it doesn't return, it was never meant to be you

If it does, love it forever

An angel wrote:

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger. If someone betrays you once, it's his fault; If he betrays you twice, it's your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.

He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses more; He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are acts of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art. Learn from the mistakes of others.

You can't live long enough to make them  all yourself.

The tongue weights practically nothing, But so few people can hold it.

Friends, you and me...

you brought another friend...

and then there were 3...

we started our group...

Our circle of friends...

and like that circle... there is no beginning or end...

Today we have higher buildings and wider highways, but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view.

We spend more, but enjoy less

We have bigger houses, but smaller families.

We have more compromises, but less time. We have more knowledge, but less judgment.

We have more medicines, but less health.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.

We talk much, we love only a little, and we hate too much.

We reached the Moon and came back, but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors.

We have conquered the outer space, but not our inner space. We have higher income, but less morals.

These are times with more liberty, but less joy.

We have much more food, but less nutrition.

These are the days in which it takes two salaries for each home, but divorces increase.

These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes

 So as of today,

Not keep anything for a special occasion, because every day that you live is a special occasion.

Search for knowledge, read more, sit on your front porch and admire the view without paying attention to your needs.

Spend more time with your family and friends, eat your favorite foods, visit the places you love.

Life is a chain of moments of enjoyment; not only about survival.

Use your crystal goblets.

Do not save your best perfume, and use it every time you feel you want it.

Remove from your vocabulary phrases like "one of these days" and "somedayˇ¨.

Let's write that letter we thought of writing "one of these daysˇ¨.

Let's tell our families and friends how much we love them.

Do not delay anything that adds laughter and joy to your life.

Every day, every hour, and every minute is special.

And you don't know if it will be your last.

Maybe God wanted us to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it does not, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear...either of joy or sorrow. No matter what there is always a lesson to learn and strength to be gained.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Please send this message to those people who mean something to you; to those who have touched your life in one way or another; to those who make you smile when you really need it; to those that make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down; to those who you want to let them know that you appreciate their friendship.

And if you don't, don't worry, nothing bad will happen to you. You will just miss out on the opportunity to brighten someone's day with this message.

Imagine. . . .

There is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of course!!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to
invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.
Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow."
You must live in the present on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the ! value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE-SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver
medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared
it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift. That's why it's called the PRESENT!!!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us.
